"Turn Key" Access Point to Client Point Links

"Turn Key"  Access Point to Client Point Link for less than A$500

0197A.JPG   rfs_3629_USB.JPG

  • 0197A outdoor access point/router fitted with a Linksys WRT54GL card and standard firmware. This card is capable of being reflashed with 3rd party firmware (DD-WRT or Sveasoft) for extra power.  (Incidentally, it should be pointed out that increasing the power of the AP probably wouldn't give much better performance in this case, because the sensitivity of the AP would still be the same).
  • RFS-6040-USB antenna fitted with either a Netgear WG111v2 or  TP-Link TL-WN321G as a Client Point.
  • No amplifiers needed. EIRP well within Australian legal limits.
  • Simple Setup, with Instructions Supplied. No more difficult than setting up an AP/client link in a home or office.
  • Includes 10metres of Ethernet cable, 5m USB extension lead, POE
  • Total cost is less than A$500 inc GST
  • Tested Up to 10.5 km. Ideal for shorter links too. File and internet sharing, VOIP etc

    Note:
Two  USB antennas, fitted with USB wireless adaptors,  could be set up in ad-hoc mode for a point to point link for about $300.
