Setting up an External antenna for: CDMA communication cards /EVDO cards such as the Sierra 580, 555, Kyocera KPC650, Maxon MM-5500SU, Maxon MM-5500C etc (as supplied by Telstra) and Sony ericcson gc75 pcmcia data card. (Vodafone mobile connect card).
and Mobile Phones
Frequency of Operation: 0.8GHz to 0.9GHz. These are the most common CDMA, GSM bands. Other bands are in use at higher frequencies.
The main difficulty is sourcing the correct pigtail for your phone or card. Unfortunately, manufacturers tend to change the connector type with every model and some pigtail adaptors can be difficult to find, and with some mobile phones not having a suitable coaxial connector. There are too many to list on the shopping cart so please email us with your mobile phone or card model for price (typ $23 ) and availability. Typical lead times can be about a week.
The pigtail provides an adaptor to FME male. There are a variety of antennas in the 0.8GHz to 0.9GHz mobile phone band, for both fixed and mobile usage terminated with FME female connectors.
