  • Radio Card and Antenna (14dB panel) are contained in a weatherproof housing mounted on a wall or mast.
  • Easy access to Radio Card reset button and  viewing LEDs . Lid closes on latch. No screws to undo.
  • Unit can be pad-locked or sealed to deter tampering.
  • No expensive RF cabling is necessary.  Minimal RF signal loss.
  • Voltage supplied by POE injectors with the board modified as shown in the photo  Note: These are simple voltage injectors, which means that the 5V or 12V power pack supplied with APs , bridges etc can still be used. The  IEEE  have defined a 48V standard (802.3af ) for POE which is different; more sophisticated but more expensive to implement.
  • POE is implemented on a LAN port. WAN port by request or you can alter it yourself.
  • Antenna can be specified for H or V polarisation.
  • Much reduced installation time.
  • Photograph shows a WRT54GL. 3rd Party firmware such as DD-WRT or Sveasoft can be added. see http://www.rfshop.com.au/ContactUs/Bloggs/tabid/648/EntryID/5/Default.aspx
  • If you don't want to change the firmware: for an AP to client point link, a  combination of WRT54G(L) (or WRT54G ver 5) and a WAP54G, set in client mode, at the other, works well up to a few km.
  • You will just need to supply or order a suitable length of CAT 5 cable. The length that can be used will depend on the device and voltage of the power pack. With the WRT54GL and WAP54G , using standard firmware and supplied 12 V power pack, this is approx 40 metres max.
    range of products

There a quite a number of possibilities. Horizontal/Vertical polarisation , POE on WAN port or LAN port etc.
Its not possible for our shopping cart to cope with all these at present so please email us for your exact requirements.
